A Forward Look

The series of articles in this ministry segment will seek to focus on some of the spiritual perspectives required for daily Christian living in this life that the Lord God is giving us, and continually blessing us as we go forth.

Some of those perspectives, most certainly, include wisdom and spiritual insight as we proceed in a life that seems increasingly filled with hate, torment, and misunderstanding. This, of course, is far less than what the Lord desires of us, which is an abundance of love, joy, and peace one to the other.

Hopefully, as we go forth, the articles in this continuing segment will prove to help in guiding each of us on the path to greater understanding, living, and serving in the way the Lord God desires, as we seek to become more of what He would have us to be.  

The Blessings of
A Heart Filled With Joy And Gladness

Joy, Cheerfulness, and laughter are some of the most profitable of all traits. They serve to make life far more livable to those who possess them - not to mention how much better it makes life for those around us.

We find that when we are blessed with these wonderful traits, we don’t have to wait for the joyous spirit to reward us. It pays right now, and continuously, by: (1) promoting good health, (2) sparking vigor in the mind, and (3) converting homeliness into a winning grace. It also fills our heart with harmony, produces thankfulness, and strengthens our life for every twist of fate.

We are blessed with the ability to climb higher and last longer when we are filled with an easy and cheerful frame of mind.

It truly gives us a major advantage over those who are without it.

Therefore, we should strive to achieve, and maintain, such a wonderful feature throughout our lives.

• All the days of the oppressed are wretched, but the cheerful heart has a continual feast.  Proverbs 15:15
• A happy heart makes the face cheerful, but heartache crushes the spirit.  Proverbs  15:13
• A cheerful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones. Proverbs  17:22
• Be wise, my son, and bring  joy to my heart; then I can answer anyone who treats me with contempt.  Proverbs 27:11
